A little preview :Nerd:

What piece of hardware is this? Looks like something from PFC.

Quite correct. Some guys are waiting for the review from me, so this is just a little teaser. I don't know if I get any time this weekend, but I'll be doing a review of my new PFC Saab Yoke with some detailed pics and possibly a video demonstrating smoothness, as this was one of my primary questions and I couldn't find anything else on the net apart from couple of general pics and some useless videos.

Congratulations on your purchase, I have been a long time owner of the Saab Jetliner Column Yoke and it is a great piece of hardware. I highly recommend their the rudder pedals, and the Saitek throttles are great. Here's a pic of my setup. photo3dmp.jpgphoto2hw.jpgI can't wait to see your pics, let me know what you think, is yours the Column or Desktop mount version?Angelo

Desktop mount. But looking at your setup I'm kinda wishing I went for the column. The force on the yoke is very strong, which I believe on the column is way better.

Trust me what you have now, is hand over fist better than any other desktop mount yoke on the market! Lets see those pics, how long did it take PFC to send you the yoke. I am lucky I live in the same state there headquarters are in.

Yes, that is very true. I had Saitek's yoke, and this one wins hands down. I gotta go now and make a mounting plate for it, since it moves off the table when I pull/push it. I could tape it to the table but that is quite a pain since I move my yoke frequently. All in all about two weeks, since I ordered from Dutifri, a company in Spain, so they ordered from PFC, delivering to Spain and then to me, in Austria. All went well, and was well inside of normal delivery time concerning the way it went.

Perhaps consider putting velcro strips on the underside of the yoke where the two screw clamps are, just a suggestion but it may leave a mark on your desk if you ever decide to remove them. It should be pretty solid that way though.

Already considered. The thing is, I have to be able to remove the whole yoke from the middle place on the table quite quickly, and as easily put it back. And also it has to be fixed firmly when positioned. So I'll probably make a kind of a bed for it, with 4 walls around it, screwed onto a 5mm wooden plate, and then clamps mounted either beneath or on the sides, whatever I can find in the shop. And then just spray it either dark grey or black.Things like velcro are simple, but they tend to move a bit (something I want to avoid), and leave the lower side on the desk, so that is a no-go.Well... time to get some work done :) I hope PMDG releases the Innsbruck tutorial for my first PFC flight! That would be perfect. One thing is funny though:I have to learn flying all over again now!!!!! :LMAO: :LMAO: (oh yea, coming from the MSFF2 joystick with a twisthandle to a rudder pedals, yoke and a TQ)

OK guys, I have to disappoint you. Been talking to PFC and the company I received the yoke from - I sent them a video of the yoke's performance since I had some problems with it - and they immediately told me to return it, ordering a new yoke for me.I'll lock this thread for now, I'll reopen it when the new yoke arrives.Sorry again, I was also hoping to be able to enjoy my vacation week with my new yoke.
