March 5, 201214 yr Hi Folks,I'm trying to select a button on my Saitek X52 to open and close the Map. I have buttons to open it, but I can't close it without going back to the keyboard. Am I selecting the wrong button?ThanksRoy NH
March 5, 201214 yr I see that, too, Roy. I'm using a Saitek Yoke but it doesn't appear to be a limitation of the type of joystick. Rather, it seems to me that the joystick is not active in the Map view so the button is not detected for the return to flying. It seems like just the keyboard and mouse are active in that view. I have managed to program a button to send the 'M' key using Saitek's SST programming software instead of binding a button in Flight. That appears to work in both directions just like the keyboard. I have used this technique to program a repeating macro for Pitch Trim as well to provide the same small and repeating increments achieved with the keyboard. Many joysticks have some sort of programmable capability like this.Rick Edited March 5, 201214 yr by RickY
