March 22, 200422 yr I can't find in the forum or the SGA site a solution to the pitch problem (excesive pitch while cruising). Is it there a patch?Or does anyone know which is the line/s in the aircraft.cfg file related to pitch that has to be changed and what should I write there?Hey, SGA guys, I saw a lot of cheap critisism about this plane. I love it and that's why I want to fix it.Thanks,Leo
March 23, 200422 yr I have a lot of payware aircraft, but when push comes to shove the 737-200 one of the ones I like best. What kind of pitch up? I think 5 to 7 degrees is normal for cruise flight. Maybe I'm wrong though. Depends on your throttle setting and fuel load etc. too. billg
March 26, 200422 yr Bill,The pitch is about 5 degrees but it is not normal, I mean with little fuel and at FL310 still pitches 5 degrees. This is an issue that has been pointed out by a lot of people that wants to use this plane in the SGA web site forum.Anyway, since no one could help me, I merged the aircraft.cfg file with another 737 file that I had and now it works perfectly well, pitches 1 or 2% with full tanks at FL350.I had it tested in FS 2002 and FS2004 and am thinking about uploading it to Simviation, but I am not sure if I have to ask authorization from both authors.Leo
March 26, 200422 yr I don't know if Permission is "required" or not, but I think it would be only proper to get it from the authors.
March 26, 200422 yr How about a helpful post providing full details as to why SGA are no longer associated with you? Thousands of the older 737s with your name attached are in the libraries as SGA/FFX, so it's not unexpected that people will confuse the newer aircraft.Try a constructive reply rather than a sarcastic one, you never know, people might thank you for it.I don't mean that to be as rude as it sounds, just considering what people might think
March 26, 200422 yr "How about a helpful post providing full details as to why SGA are no longer associated with you? Thousands of the older 737s with your name attached are in the libraries as SGA/FFX, so it's not unexpected that people will confuse the newer aircraft."Because the uploaders assumed. The FFX B737 series, never, repeat, never had anything to do with SGA. SGA and FFX did the joint project of the MD-8X, and I think the DC-10. So everyone automaticly assumed(and when you assume, you know what happeans?? It make an A$$ out of U and me.) the B737 series was a SGA project. The new B737 series will be released under the name Kittyhawk. Agian no one seems to notice, and/or is ignoring this... :-outta http://hometown.aol.com/p3superb/images/3e72a43942b48d2b.jpg There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown "My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
March 26, 200422 yr If I understood Erick correctly in antoher thread, the SGA/FFX group has split last year. The new (or updated) 732 was designed by only himself for his VA.Wolfgang
March 26, 200422 yr FFX split/closed(whatever term you want to use), and some of the members joined SGA...And true, I do believe the B732 will not be "offically released" But the rest of the B737 series is supposed to be under the Kittyhawk banner.(Knowing Erick that name might change ten times before the release...LOL -Though I the only name I need to know is that Erick's in the model by: line :)) :-outta http://hometown.aol.com/p3superb/images/3e72a43942b48d2b.jpg There is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown "My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
March 26, 200422 yr Who's being sarcastic? I want to know. And I never split from SGA. I just never gave SGA the 737. I decided I'd rather release it independently for reasons which don't concern anyone out of SGA. The 737's were given the label FFX/SGA for no good reason - the only planes FFX/SGA ever made were the MD8x and original DC-10. Everything else got mislabelled FFX/SGA and eventually FFX was just eaten up by SGA in whole. This was acceptable to everyone (but me and Adam) because in the public eye we were one anyway.
March 26, 200422 yr Eric:Unfortunately, when you get he 737-800, in one of the txt appears the following:"By FlightFX - http://www.sgair.net/FlightFX"Of course, trying to get info about the pitch problem you go to the web and assume the plane is SGA's.Anyway I have to point out that I sent an e-mail to SGA asking about the problem and they replied attaching a link to the SGA forum, where the problem is addressed and answered by the creator of the plane. He gives a whole new cfg, but with that the problem still persists.Eric, I have solved the problem by merging the aircraft.cfg file with another 737 I have, and I am interested in uploading it to Simviation (Probably with a file in the web that fixes the problem you'll have less people bothering you with this subject). The fix was tested in FS2002 and FS2004 and works well in both.Do you think I should contact the author of the 737? Do you have any idea how can I contact him? I understand you developed planes together, so you must know how to find him. Thanks,Leo
March 26, 200422 yr You can adjust it by changing this line in your aircraft.cfg file:cruise_lift_scalar= 1.00TonyDigital-Flight
March 26, 200422 yr "Do you think I should contact the author of the 737?"You just did. Go ahead, I don't mind. :)FFX was hosted at SGA's website but was an independent group. Jon's my friend, we needed space, so he lent me some.
