747 - GLIDE SLOPE CAPTURE, AUTOTHROTTLE OVERSPEED and GROUND ROLL

Recommended Posts

HiAfter having not used it in a long time, I just restored the CLS 747 to my hard drive. Sadly, on the first flight I remembered why I took it off the hard drive... But perhaps there are some ways to fix the issues that detract (for me) the "immersion" factor and "suspension of disbelief" that is crucial to an enjoyable sim experience...1. Is there any way to fix the poor glide slope capture? It invariably drops below the GS right after capture and you have to endure the incredibly annoying "glide slope" audio repeating over and over. If the GS capture can't be fixed, is there any way to get rid of the aural warning?2. During climb out after take off, the airspeed increases rapidly way over the value set in the IAS bug. Increasing VS doesn't solve it. Then, just before reaching VNE the autothrottles spool the engines back to minimum thrust so you have a thunderous intitial climb out, followed by a rather ominous "silence." Any way to fix this?3. I'm sure this can be fixed but I'm not sure how. Is there a way to increase the landing roll-out without doing nasty things to take off acceleration? The take off seems very believable, with the slow but steady acceleration you would expect from such a massive beast. But on landing, the deceleration is ridiculous, with the aircraft coming to a complete stop in a distance far shorter than a 737, even without using autobrake and not touching the toe brakes. Can this be fixed?I really would like to enjoy this product as it has so many excellent features and it fills a niche that no othe product really does. But as it is, the fun wanes very quickly because of these three weak areasCheersIan

sorry for the late reply1. aural warning can only be removed by renaming or deleting the corresponding sound file2. no idea at the moment3. it would be possible to edit the braking force in the aircraft.cfg which will then result in a longer decelleration
