March 23, 200422 yr Having recently visited Princess Juliana airport, I am curious about the departure for large aircraft. Having watched several 757's depart, I noticed the climb, which included a sharp right turn after takeoff from RWY09, was very steep. I understand this is due to the high land elevation infront of the climb path, but what angle of intial climb do these aircraft use and how much power? I mean is it always Full Power and no de-rate takeoff's, especially for the Air France A340 which operates direct to LFPG.If anyone can offer any information and departure procedure charts (SIDS), I would be most gratefull.BrgdsMataus (UK) Thanks Mat -|- Win 11 Pro, 14900K, Asus Strix Z790, 64Gb Corsair Vengeance, MSI 5090 - Hardware: MFG, Thrustmaster, Logitch, Honeycomb, Virpil, WinWing & Tobii. March 23, 200422 yr Visit www.vatsim.net and navigate to the Caribbean division. I think under the SanJuan division, you will find the charts for TNCM. If you don't find them, then PM me and I'll email them to you.

March 24, 200422 yr Hey no problem. If you found the departure chart, there's this little advisory right at the bottom that says:"Right of the centerline, halfway up the hill, a little house has been constructed. When the lights are on, this gives the impression of a small aircraft approaching R27."Wouldn't mind living in that little house. It must be a plane spotter's dream. :) Don't look for it in FS though...I don't think its there.
