FSLabs Controls not working
Hi all, I've just posted this in the FSLabs forum, but posting here in case anyone has had something similar. Up until a couple of weeks ago I hadn’t flown the FSLabs since late November, and these issues didn’t occur back then. This is in MSFS2024. When loading the aircraft and reaching the ‘Ready to Fly’ screen, the sim freezes and the background does not pan or change views. This lasts for a couple of minutes and upon clicking ready to fly it can be another couple of minutes before the aircraft it ready. If I press anything in-between this time, then the sim freezes or I get a CTD, so I leave it to fully load before clicking on anything. When spawning at the gate, the sidestick, rudder and flaps do not work with my hardware. If I spawn onto the runway, then ‘sometimes’ they do work. I’ve spent the week trying various things, such as reinstalling the aircraft, trying different hardware (Thrustmaster, Honeycomb, Logitech, Virpil) but no difference. Everything else with the aircraft is fully functional (including WingWing EFIS/FCU & MCDU). I also removed ChasePlane & Pro Flow, as these were the only things I had installed, but this made no difference. I have tried various airports (default & add-on) and other aircraft (default/Fenix/PMDG/TFDi/Just Flight/etc) and this issue exists only with the FSLabs. Is there anything I'm missing or can try.

P3D v3.3.5 install
Has anyone got this working in v3.3.5? I have major stutters every 1-2 seconds in any aircraft, including on the start page. Only uninstalling the 767 clears the problem.

P3D crashes when monitor switched off
I'll be sure to use that I didn't think it would be the 777. By the way, good work by the PMDG team again regarding the DC6. Loving that on XP10

P3D crashes when monitor switched off
You think maybe more Nvidia? Maybe I'll have to try an older driver. In the event log it always shows a different module that's caused the crash, which is why I didn't necessarily think it may have been the display driver.

P3D crashes when monitor switched off
Hi Kyle, I have posted in the LM forum, only posted here incase others have had a similar issue and it's not P3D that's the problem.

P3D crashes when monitor switched off
Hi all, I'm posting here as I'm hoping those that do long haul flights may have had something similar to what I'm experiencing. During long flights I switch off my monitor, which I've done for years without issues, but now when I switch it back on, P3D crashes. About 6 weeks ago I upgraded (completely clean install) to Win 10 Pro 64 and did a clean install of P3D v3.3.5 when it was released. I currently only have a few add-ons installed while I configure my set up. I've been doing some long hauls to ensure I have no memory or scenery issues and this is where the problem is. I've been using the PMDG 777 for the flights and using either an add-on scenery or default and also with/without AS Next. When I switch the monitor back on the screen is black and as soon as I hit the keyboard or click the mouse the sim crashes. As I say, I've never had this issue under Win 7 or MSFS / P3D up to v3.2. I still have more testing to do with different aircraft, but is this a Win 10 issue, Nvidia driver or something else?

[24JAN15] If you have had trouble installing in FSXSE...
Hi, I only want to install into FSX, not SE. The base installer allows this, but the -300 install always has the same error that it's not installed. I've redownloaded both installers, but still the same issue with the -300.

XPlane Development Status Thread [Updated 12SEP14]
Thanks for the update, truly excited to finally see PMDG in X-Plane. Don't care which aircraft is first, just know that it will be worth the wait

A new (NGX) version of the wonderful MD-11
Whether PMDG change there mind or not, the MD11 is still the best aircraft they've ever done in my opinion, and I've owned everything they've produced since the days of Fly!

LINDA newbie MCP advice needed
Thanks for that, it is indeed the combo that I have. Never noticed or know why I have it listed as pro.

LINDA newbie MCP advice needed
Hi, I spent some time working through the basics. VRiSim worked fine and FSUIPC is all working ok. I removed the files you suggested, but still the same. I reinstalled FSUIPC and redownloaded LINDA, removing old files and replacing them, but to no avail. I looked into COM ports as I've never needed to do anything with them. I checked what was in use and then manually changed the port to number 15. This worked and LINDA now communicates with the MCP. Bit strange, not sure why COM11 would work with VRiSim, but not with LINDA. Thanks for the help.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I did check that, even removed it and got LINDA to replace it, but still the same.

LINDA newbie MCP advice needed
Hi All, Today I have been trying to setup LINDA for the first time. So far I have all my basic joystick buttons setup and working with no issues. I have an VRi MCP (original) that I am trying to connect, but without success. I have followed the manual and the manual that Brian did, but LINDA always shows that the connection to the COM port has failed. Using the VRi software, the MCP connects and works on COM11. I deleted all associated lines from the FSUIPC.ini and got LINDA to add them for me using COM11, but it still fails. I switch on the MCP, then start LINDA and then FSX. Am I missing something very obvious here? Restoring previous aircraft... Request: stop the requests
I have purchased all PMDG add-ons since the days of Fly! and the 757, which must be around 13yrs or so ago. Never in that time have I felt let down or ignored by PMDG, whether in a forum or in emails. I don't come here demanding information and other such things because PMDG's reputation is second to none and I can read! I understand people are enthusiastic, but many of the topics and posts across all areas of the PMDG forum are simply unnecessary. Are they under any obligation to update us? No. Personally I would prefer them to spend as little time answering many of the pathetic posts on here and concentrate on what they do best. I too want the 777, 747, DC6 and whatever comes next, but I also accept this is a hobby and really should not be taken so seriously. I shall now return to reading and laughing at the many posts...

My vote goes to option 4. If you dont like it, don't buy it

777 2D Cockpit?
My choice of VC comes from flying for real, 2d just didnt offer the same realism. Yes hardware is important depending on add-ons. If your system struggles to run vc, then i can understand why people want 2d, but hardware has improved alot, so progression is only logical.
-
777 2D Cockpit?
Well I have my own 2d that I can compare it to, so what would be the point? And if I didn't have a clear view then I would use the 2d, but like I stated, I don't. Your post isn't going to change anything, only your choice of what panel you use.
-
777 2D Cockpit?
Yes I have a crystal clear view of the PFD and other gauges, even when hand flying and navigating around the flight deck. Therefore no need for outdated unrealistic 2D panels.

777 2D Cockpit?
How many times do the guys at PMDG have to state that they are not doing it? Just like they are not doing FS9! The aim is to move forward, not to stay stuck in the past because some people don't like the decision that's been made. PMDG is a business, many seem to forget that, just like Microsoft did with the failed 'Flight' project.

777 2D Cockpit?
The VC is more realistic and isn't that the aim here? My frames sit well around 30fps with AS2012, Orbx, etc. My hardware is over a year old now and still runs the NGX fluidly. I haven't used a 2D panel in an add-on for a few years now and have no problems flying and navigating around the flight deck.
