March 10, 201214 yr I'm running AS2012 on my laptop and connected via network to my PC.I am prompted to log on to my PC when I first start AS2012 which isa bit annoying. Is there a setting somewhere which will enableautomatic logon when starting AS2012? I've attached an imagethat shows the prompt. The laptop is running Vista Home premiumand the PC is Win 7-64. FSX is installed on the PC.Thanks,Ken Boardman Ken Boardman
March 14, 201214 yr Author Ok, let me rephrase > is anyone here running AS2012 (setup for FSX) on a secondary laptop/PC over a network via Wide FS?If yes, are you prompted to logon to your primary (FSX) computer when starting up AS2012 (as I am)?Thank you,Ken Boardman Ken Boardman
March 16, 201214 yr That comes from your shares on your main FS computer. You have it set to require a login that's different than the login on your client computer (the one you're running AS2012 on.)Try changing the share on the host to allow read/write from the account you're logged onto on your client computer.-stefan
March 18, 201214 yr Author Thank you for replying Stefan. Is the Share setting that you refer to on the host a global setting (as in Control Panel or....?) or is it aShare setting for or a folder(s) and / or file(s)?Regards,Ken Ken Boardman
March 18, 201214 yr Author I finally identified an issue with my client laptop's Vista OS. It will not remember the logon name / password of a host computer betweenboots. Solution is > to create a user name and password on the client that is identical to the host's ~: Seems odd (to me) that thisis necessary, but..................Best regards,Ken Ken Boardman

Glad you figured it out - it wouldn't hurt to put this into the documentation.-stefan

REALLY? Are there directions for this anywhere? I have been trying to use Simconnect and ASE for days. If AS2012 works with WideFS, I'll just buy it!Thanks
