Hello!
What are the system requirements for running UniFly? I am running FSX Acceleration in Win 7-64. When I run the UniFly executable I get an error message and it prompts me to exit the program. Any info or tips will be appreciated. Thank you, Ken

Pre-purchase question
Hi Steve, What is the latest official version of DX10 Fixer? The latest version I've found online reference to is version 2.9. Can you confirm this? I think my HW will be OK : I7 930, OC 4.0 ghz NVidia GTX 960 SC RAM 12 gb Software : Win 7-64 FSX Accel I just finished testing FSX, for the first time set to DX10 Preview. It worked pretty good aside from occasional white flashing artifacts. I tested around Seattle first with a (default) Cessna, and then with PMDG T7. Didn't notice any difference in the visuals. Frame rates dropped from 30fps (with Cessna) to ~20fps (with T7). As a side note, I also get (less occasional) white flashing artifacts when not in DX 10 preview. For past 6 years have sort of accepted them as a fact of FSX life with my current HW and SW setup. Best regards, Ken Boardman

This issue appears to be solved. I downloaded the file tonight and successfully extracted it. Thank you to those involved with the fix. Ken Boardman

PMDG_737NGX_8900_PAINT_KIT.zip
I downloaded the file this morning and it's still a no-go. The file is only ~50% of what PMDG's downloads page states it should be (~223mb vice ~454mb); and it won't extract. Ken

PMDG_737NGX_8900_PAINT_KIT.zip
I've been informed by PMDG Support that those responsible have been informed. That's all I know. I may try a download this eve. Ken

PMDG_737NGX_8900_PAINT_KIT.zip
I downloaded the -800/-900 paint kit archive from the PMDG site and can't extract it. I get error message indicating that it may be corrupt. Is this a known issue ? Can it be fixed ? I tried re-downloading it with Firefox (vice IE) and it made no difference. The -600 archive extracted without issue. Best to all, Ken Boardman

(FSX)Pax cabin nite lighting as viewed from exterior
I'm tinkering with an FS9 "port over" aircraft. Don't know if that makes a difference in what I have to work with, but I don't see any files that appear almost identical in the texture folders of the various paints. I know what you are referring to Rick, because I can see the nearly identical files in the folders of other (FSX native) aircraft. Thank you, Ken

(FSX)Pax cabin nite lighting as viewed from exterior
Thank you for the informative reply Fr. Bill. I looked at some _L and _LM files in the folders of the default aircraft; however I'm working with the MAAM DC-3s and they don't appear to have files with _L and _LM in their file names. Can you recommend another means of affecting the cabin lighting intensity? Best regards, Ken

(FSX)Pax cabin nite lighting as viewed from exterior
Where is the subject lighting intensity established (effects file, config file, etc.) ? Not a big deal, but I'd like the airliner cabin windows to show up a bit better at night on some aircraft. Thank you, Ken

FSX DC-3 Pax cabin nite lighting as viewed from Ext. view
Regarding the DC-3 / C-47 models : Where is the subject lighting established ? > Is it an Effects file, configuration file, etc. ? I'd like to try to adjust it so the windows show up better at night from external views. Best to all, Ken Boardman

DC-3 C-47 checklist
Thank you for taking the time to reply. I would not ask for $$ back either  Still a wonderful package. Best regards, Ken

DC-3 C-47 checklist
Regarding the FSX updated version; anyone know how to get the "in cockpit" checklist to function properly. Non of the check blocks will accept a check mark when mouse clicked. I was able to get the Standard checklist to appear on the kneeboard by changing the aircraft.cfg " kb_Checklists = " line from " =checkloader " to " =dc-3_checklist " ; however the check blocks still will not accept a check mark. Thank you, Ken

Flap speed, VNAV and livery availability questions
Mike, Thank you for the tip. I added the triple Aux Tank option to the 200F via the OC. Best to all, Ken

Flap speed, VNAV and livery availability questions
Thank you for the insight Kyle and Michael. Regarding the B777-200LR FedEx livery, I didn't find one in the OC. I am using the very nice -200F livery available in the OC but haven't been able to find a -200LR. I'm after a -200LR because I fly many long haul flights for my FedEx VA and sometimes need the Aux tank that the -200LR offers as an option. I have been using the ANA -200LR livery for these flights, but it would be nice to have a FedEx livery.... Mike, I think that my descent routine is in line with what you suggest, but I'll pay closer attention to it at the end of my current flight (CYYZ-VHHH) Best to all, Ken

Flap speed, VNAV and livery availability questions
To all, 1. Are the flap and gear speed limits that appear on the front VC panel IAS ? 2. I haven't been able to determine how to "arm" VNAV so that a VNAV "Path" type descent will begin automatically when "TD" point is reached. What I've needed to do is to use VS control (with AP engaged) until the Flight Path pointer is very near to the FMC computed flight path and then engage VNAV. Otherwise I wind up in VNAV "Speed" mode and the T7's descent does not occur on the FMC's flight path. 3. Is there a (Fictional) B777-200LR FedEx livery (freeware, payware or other) anywhere out here in cyber space? Thank you and Happy Holidays to all, Ken Boardman

Ch Throttle Pro USB Cpan settings request
I'm new to this Q400. I believe that I've figured out the Control Panel flight control settings; but I'm not so sure about the "Cpan" throttle settings. If someone who is using the CH Pro USB throttle could share their Control panel settings it would be much appreciated. Best to all, Ken

FMC Lat Lon entries
The "offset (radial/distance) waypoint" technique should work for me Dan. I had read the AOM Avionics and FMS sections and was surprised to not find anything regarding FMC Lat / Lon entries > thus my question ~ Thank you for responding. Ken

FMC Lat Lon entries
Is it possible to enter Lat / Lon waypoints into the JS41's FMC ? If yes, what is the correct format. Thank you, Ken

FSX Airborn houses / buildings
Some outstanding info here. I've never used the scenery "refresh" so I'll try it next time I see this... Thanks again, Ken

FSX Airborn houses / buildings
Thank you Barry and Jim for your tips. This occurred at the start of the flight (just after takeoff) and VAS available looked very good. I will have a look at Mesh Resolution setting. I use FS Global for mesh and I'm aware that sometimes it can cause "strangeness" so I've sent off an email to FS Global support also. Best regards, Ken

FSX Airborn houses / buildings
I wasn't sure where to start this thread. I see several houses suspended about 500' agl northwest of Wellington, NZ. what is the best fix for this. I'd thought about lowering my autogen scenery setting, but it is not very high (currently set to "Dense"). Any tips or ideas regarding this will be welcome. Thank you, Ken
