Terrain.dll - FS9 crash

Featured Replies

Hi I have started getting an FS9 Failure, it will either initially hang then Crash or black screen then crash, all error messages show Terrain.dll as the cause.I have read a few previous threads and have tried the fix from Johan (I think) but it has just started happening again.I fly online with VATSIM, so was using FS9, SBrelay, SB, AVC, BA ACARS, Servinfo, weather (either AS2004 of default FS9, doesn't seem to matter)It happened thre times in the last two day, seach time over the North of UK, but not in the same location.Last week I completed a Birmingham (EGBB) to Hamburg (EDHH) online flight twice with no complications.Could anyone suggest a fix please, I would be very grateful.PS Anyone going to the Flightsim show in Balack pool in June???ThanxTerry

Looks like I am on my own then, I am going to reinstall the original Terrain.cfg and Terrain.dll from FS9 disk and see what happens.CheersTerry

If that didn't work, try looking for the "seasonal ctd" cures - i think a number of people experiencing that issue have had faults in terrain.dll - it's a simple fix, change a couple of settings in the FS9.cfg or Scenery.cfgGood luck!Best,sg
