Everything works but no gauges

Featured Replies

Hi there. Newbie here so I hope this isn't a dumb question...I've installed all versions of the TinMouse 737-200 on FSX from 1.30, 1.31, 1.32, and 1.40. Seems like sound and panel are good, except there are NO GAUGES or SWITCHES on the panels. I'm wondering if I have a step wrong somewhere. I thought I followed all the instructions, and even saw the corrected instructions...My directory structure looks like this:C:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X>1.---------------------------------------\TM.ini2.----------------------------------------\Effects\fx_smoke_JT8D.fx3.---------------------------------------\Sound>-------------------------------------------------\TMPandelSound.xgs--------------------------------------------------\TMSoundBank.xsb---------------------------------------------------\TMWaveBank.xwb4.---------------------------------------\SimObjects\Airplanes>------------------------------------------------------------------\B737-200_TM2------------------------------------------------------------------\fsfsconv\panel.B732ADV\B732adv.gau (1.40)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------\panel.cfg (renamed from panel.fsx.wide.160-10.sp77.cfg)5. C:\system32\FS2AUDIO.dllAm I missing something?Configuration:FSX SP1 with FSUPIC4WIndows XP SP3AMD 7850 Dual Core @ 2.8GHz1 GB RAM (just had a stick die, 4 GB in the mail)Thanks for your help in advance!

#5 should be C:windowssystem32FS2AUDIO.DLLMake sure that in your ...SimobjectsAirplanesB737-200_TM2 directory there is a panel subdirectory with a panel.cfg file aliasing the panel to fsfsconvpanel.b732adv, and make sure there are no typos or spaces etc in the name of the panel.cfg file you renamed.

Thanks for your reply Bob. Everything checks out, and the FS2AUDIO.DLL was already in the right place. Any other suggestions?

Well, I installed SP2, and it works. I didn't expect that to be a problem as I believe it was supposed to be backward compatible. Gauges work, but the 3 Hydraulic gauges are not there. PSI, Brake PSI, and QTY.~D.

Those gauges were new with the widescreen version in V1.40...make sure you have the latest version of the B732ADV.gau file in the ..SimobjectsAirplanesfsfsconvpanel.B732ADV folder.

Well now a new problem. I unfortunately did a reinstall of Windows due to some other programing messing up my sound. I'm back to where I was, and gauges work but no panel now! LOL opposite problem! In the panel.B732ADV folder I put in the 16:10 panel and renamed it panel.cfg. I also put in the 16:10 panel.bmp and renamed it main.bmp to see if that would fix it but it didn't.What do you think the problem is?
