Aerodynamic vapor effects

Featured Replies

I really love the vapor effects coming off the wings at certain times, they look great. But they seem a little too far out, coming from the wrong place. Looking at 737 pics it almost seems like they usually form on this aircraft type, right at the outboard tip of the flaps. Like in these pictures:http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=5648810http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=496639I was also wondering if it would be possible to include the vapor whiskers that appear from the fins on the nacelles during high AoA. Could this be implemented in a future update? http://www.jetphotos....php?id=6489788http://www.jetphotos.net/viewphoto.php?id=252899I would have a go at it myself, but I have no clue how to mess around with effects. Any guru's out there that can do this? Would make screen shots look really sweet. :(

I'm not a guru, but i think it would be possible to have the vapor effect from the flaps, just modify the position where it comes from and you'll be fine. The problems are: 1. you'll get them only with high g maneuvers, because of fsx's logic, unless you create some gauge which measures the aoa on the flaps and decides when to put the, 2. even if you manage to do it, the trails won't follow the flaps tips, because they simply have a fixed position in the .cfgfor the ones coming from the nacelles, just add some effects points in the .cfg and you'll be fine
