Airport position marking on the map

Featured Replies

I got a little idea about something...With hundreds of addons, freeware and payware, sometimes I forget what I have.I want, instead of having my addons listed in the folder, shown on the map. Preferrably configurable. Like a huge map or globe, something like Google Earth, in which I can put pins, somewhat like info, which scenery this is, ICAO and immediately see where I have installed airports. Thus easily deciding where I want to fly.First thing that pops into mind is Google Earth, since I know ORBX has those real neat maps with pins and airports, showing you airports, and all...I would do a simplified version in GE. I don't even need real map (although nice). But, I was thinking, maybe someone got the same idea already and made some nice program for it. Or maybe some of you have a better suited program for this task? Never liked GE really :Phbbbt:EDIT: Just tried it in GE. GE is so clever, it doesn't even recognize some airports. Only buildings around it... and it crashes. So, shoot!

I'm just starting and have minimal addons but your idea is very sound. A quick graphical world view with color codes, symbols and patterns of what addon is where would be great to have.Or perhaps a menu driven feature that tells you if the selected airport(s), plane and surrounding area is addon or vanilla.

I just made a quick GE library - took me about 1 hour. It isn't bad, but as said... not my favorite.
