March 13, 201214 yr So after 6 years my trusty old Dell dies. (read that with heavy sarcasm, I wanted to punt that thing every time I used it, but it was free.) So today I upgraded to a new i3 powered Gateway, with more RAM than my first computer had in hard drive space.Long story short it has Windows 7, and when I went to install ASG (and subsequently the .net framework) windows told me that there are known compatability issues with .net and the operating system. Should I just ignore what windows has to say or is there a work around? Thanks
March 13, 201214 yr Author Update, I did a little more research on this, and found that it requires .net v1.1 which is not compatible with Windows 7, so I went to Microsoft's website and got the .net V4.0 assuming that the later version would work fine. But when I went to install ASG again it attempted to install v1.1 again and wouldn't let me go any further without having v1.1 installed. I've gotta be missing something simple like a patch somewhere right?

What it boils down to is that if you are a Dev you may have some problems with IIS that can be fixed; if you aren't you'll never notice.DJ
