March 16, 201214 yr Not a major issue, but one that's beginning to be a pain...Every single time I start FSX for the first time, it crashes with the error below. Usually, after 2 or 3 more attempts, it starts okay, then doesn't happen again untlil I next reboot the system.I can see it's probably an nVidia driver error, but i've removed and reinstalled all drivers and DirectX several times without any change.Anyone got any ideas?Problem signature:Problem Event Name: APPCRASHApplication Name: fsx.exeApplication Version: 10.0.61637.0Application Timestamp: 46fadb14Fault Module Name: ntdll.dllFault Module Version: 6.1.7601.17725Fault Module Timestamp: 4ec49b8fException Code: c0000005Exception Offset: 00038dc9OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48Locale ID: 2057 Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
March 16, 201214 yr Hi Phil,This is a common CTD and you can read more about some solutions up in the CTD Forum. Exception code c0000005 indicates a Memory_Access_Violation. NTDLL.dll is a system file which handles memory. Most likely you need to turn down your sliders. It could be memory configurations in the bios too but most likely too many sliders are set too high.Best regards,Jim
March 16, 201214 yr Hi Dougal: +1 for what Jim said, plus you could run SFC /scannow from the command window to check/see if you might have a system file or dll which might be corrupt. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
