March 28, 200422 yr Hi All.anyone know where I can get a good TCAS from please,I want to be able to use it in the PSS BussesthanksSteve
March 28, 200422 yr You can search the avsim file library for Lee Heatherington's TCAS, which is modeled off of the Beoing TCASII system. I doubt you can find anything for a bus, though.
March 28, 200422 yr The PSS airbus already comes with TCAS.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
March 29, 200422 yr Hi Fred,I tried searching for Lee Heatherington's TCAS in the library but had no luck. Could you possibly provide a file name for me as I would like to modify a 742 panel I have. Many thanks,Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."
March 29, 200422 yr >The PSS airbus already comes with TCAS.>>LeeLee,I have just heard from the PSS guy's, there isn't one in the Airbusses A330/340 at all, they told me to get the file ''Ai Bridge;;, I have tried that before but it just screws up most of the time, thats why I got rid of it.thanks anywaySteve.
March 29, 200422 yr I think you have to install the latest A320 panel from PSS and re-install the base panel for the A330 with the latest version, the TCAS works fine on these panels and is quite good.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
March 29, 200422 yr Hi Lee,I forgot to mention that I'm using the latest A330/340's in FS9, and unfortunately they don't have a built in TCAS, a shame realy, cheersSteve.
March 29, 200422 yr Weird, 'cause TCAS is working fine in both my A320 and A330 panels.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
March 30, 200422 yr Bob, You're a gentleman! Thanks, got it and installed it and it rules!btw/ PSS Panels have built in TCAS on the ND.Best RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."
March 30, 200422 yr Great gauge, Heatheringtons, If anyone wants a quick example:Below is the default 737 radiostack, with:-Transponder replaced by the TCAS (which is also a transponder) -TCAS display (which is also VS gauge) goes where the default VS gauge was.Change on Radio Panel: gauge04=ILH_TCAS!Transponder, 0, 216And for the Main Panel:gauge03=737-400!Vertical Speed, 238, 128 It fits in pretty fine with most of aircraft.- Halfdan
