March 22, 201214 yr Recently I've had to re-install FSX onto a new system. What a headache. My V35B Bonanza installs fine from the cd but when I try to replace the Aircraft.cfg file and the other airfile, I loose my orange plane.I made a back-up file and placed the original files in there for safe keeping.I've noticed that when I paste the new files in their place that the kb's is the same as the original. For instance, the original Aircraft.cfg file is 17kbs. The new one is only 5kbs. Don't know what I'm doing wrong but it doesn't change when I copy/paste or try to drag it in from the download patch file.Any ideas???I'm wondering if my cd has the patched version already. I had read somewhere where if there is a typ-O on one of the doors warning stickers that it is the unpatched version. Well, straight from the cd mine seems to look fine. Thanks,Mitch Was born on the Northcoast, where they coined the phrase that they still call Rock-n-Roll! Mitch Collins
June 5, 201312 yr Hello, I realise that your post is old, but I've recently bought the V35B and I've since been browsing this forum! I too have had problems since installing this patch off the official Carenado web site. Surprisingly, it appears that the patch seems to cause two problems: Some of the external lights no longer work, and The orange plane is no longer available. The former is dealt with elsewhere in this forum - copying the relevant section from the original config file and pasting it into the patch config file. Similarly for the orange plane - copy and paste. Hope that helps anyone who has had the same difficulties. This is the first time I've bought an addon plane, and I chose Carenado because of its reputation, and indeed it is excellent in terms of sound, visuals, and handling (although I have been surprised by all sorts of things not working right).
