HELPPPPPPP: 3RD PARTY GAUGES, AIRCRAFT, FILES...

Featured Replies

I just got fs9. In fs2002pro I edited something somewhere (which I obviously dont remember now) so that I didnt get the error messages and so that the software would accept all gauges, airplanes, etc... Anyone know how to edit fs9 so I don't get those popups asking to disable these files....THXfet

Anything more specific on what is causing the errors? A common one is the need for "OLDMODULES" entry of the FS9 configuration file for such things as fssound.dll.

Hey there... Know Paul Tosh in Centralia??? So this is the deal:I load fs9. Then I get 1st message: FS was unable to load ....you can continue to fly but aircraft or software will be disable...I press OK.Then I get Gaugesmd87.ATC-WHM.GAU I disable with okThen I get xml sound.gau. I disable with okThen I get FS has detected potential incompatible ...and it again shows gaugesmd87.gps.gau...and says "Do you want to load..." If I say yes, FS( shuts down, If I say no, itb loads but gives me the same gaugesmd97.gps.gau aboput 7 times...to which I always say ok and then fs9 starts......Lost yet???? :-)

Expanding on the [OLDMODULES] section for the FS9.CFG file mentioned above, is an example:[OLDMODULES]FSSound.dll=1Gaugesmd87.gps.gau=1Gaugesmd87.ATC-WHM.gau=1However, the module or gauge may still not work properly with FS2004, even with the [OLDMODULES] section. Also if you are using a variation of Doug Dawson's - dsd_xml_sound.zip or Bill Morad's - xmlsound.zip, you might download the files listed and read how to correctly install them.W. Sieffert
