April 6, 200422 yr I fired up both FS9 and FS2002 Pro today and both of them "refreshed" the scenery database and re-built the database at the simulator's startup.I seem to remember that this occurs every time after the computer makes the time change to or from daylight savings time. Why does this happen?Does anyone know? Thanks!Scott :-)ATP/CFII - KCOS
April 6, 200422 yr Good questions Scott: Mine did the same thing and I was puzzled as I never noticed this happening before. Also, my time zones have a quirk. My default flight is at my home airport KSMO and I get the correct time there, but when I reset a flight in the Mountain zone there is no time change. It's like the program is not registering the mountain zone. So far I haven't been able to figure how to fix this.best,
April 6, 200422 yr I'm in the mountain time zone also. Maybe that has something to do with it.Strange.Scott :-)ATP/CFII - KCOS
April 6, 200422 yr >Yes, and we know how to use the search engine in this forum,>too!Wow we are smart! How about you show me where a thread is that contains this information? No doubt it exists, but I just spent the last 30 min searching to no avail. The best I came up with is:"I'm almost certain it is tied to one of two things: Either the switch from Daylight Savings Time, or the switch in season. Either one of them causes FS2K to use a different set of BGLs."
April 10, 200422 yr Author I sure am glad this was posted. I had just added a small scenery file the day before and thought that was what caused it. Thanks for clearing it up.
