  1. I'm 73 and been flying since FS version 3.0 which was released in 1986. Jeeze, I'm getting old!
  2. Alexander's fixes are terrific! I've been using them for months. He's done a fantastic job. He's even added a moving map to the display. Owen
  3. Curious as to what the price is for the home version of NOD32. I went to their web site but I don't see a price listed. Doesn't matter a lot if it works but I'd still like to know. The home version says "free download" but I assume that means for the 30 day trial period.
  4. There was a post here some time ago saying that someone had it working in FSX but I think there was also a post from Sky Deck saying that it wasn't designed to work in FSX. ????
  5. I've found that if I always exit the simulator in windowed mode, which causes it to start back up in windowed mode, it will switch from windowed to full screen and back much easier. It's still slow but but it doesn't hang, requiring a restart of FSX. Also, if I want to switch applications while running FSX I'll go to windowed mode before switching and it goes and comes without hanging. Using the shutdown in windowed mode method seems to allow switching apps in full screen but it's slow but doesn't hang.
  6. Thanks for the response but I just don't get it. I guess I'll just give it up for a while.
  7. Thank you for the reply but, I'm sorry, I'm just not getting it. I need to clarify something though. I am attempting to ad total distance remaining to an existing gauge. It's the Lear-45 Enhancements by Alexander Barthel that's available here at Avsim. I want to put it at the top right on the map page where it now shows 15NM. It remains 15 at all times. Groundspeed TAS and Temp are correct. This is with the original macro suggested by pve. 170.000,27.000TrueTrueArial#AAAAAA10%(@TotalDistRem)%!5d!n -------this is where is should be%((A:AIRSPEED TRUE, knots))%!3d!n%((A:GPS GROUND SPEED, knots))%!3d!n%((A:AMBIENT TEMPERATURE,celsius))%!3d!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/175940.jpgI did try pve's last suggestions with no success. If I put the string line in it doesn't show and the other values dissappear.
  8. My thoughts exactly, time to give it a rest.Bill, would you take a look at my post on the Aircraft & panel design forum about the GPS cumulative distance and see if you could give me some direction please.
  9. Try as I may I can't get the total miles to destination to show up. All I want to do is display the miles but no matter what combination I've tried It just doesn't work. Spent about a week, couple hours a night, trying to make it work. I know nothing about XML programming and I can't find the information to point me in the right direction. Can someone show me how to display this. I tried putting the ......>/String> statement where in the gauge file where it should show but not only does it not show but the unrelated line below disappears. I've got it to display 0.0 NM but can't get anything else. I'm missing something about the variable I think.
  10. Looking good! Thanks. I wonder if I purchase now the service packs are included or if I have to download to update. Anybody know.
  11. One thing I forgot to mention is the 2-D cockpit. I use it most of the time but there are no screen shots of it. How does it appear to you?
  12. Hey, thanks for the comeback. I might just have to give it a try. CitationX has a slight performance hit too.[test] just to see if I can do brackets, nothing to do with the plane.
  13. Just wondering if anyone has tried this one yet. I have their Citation X and it's pretty good.
