Curious as to what the price is for the home version of NOD32. I went to their web site but I don't see a price listed. Doesn't matter a lot if it works but I'd still like to know. The home version says "free download" but I assume that means for the 30 day trial period.

There was a post here some time ago saying that someone had it working in FSX but I think there was also a post from Sky Deck saying that it wasn't designed to work in FSX. ????

I've found that if I always exit the simulator in windowed mode, which causes it to start back up in windowed mode, it will switch from windowed to full screen and back much easier. It's still slow but but it doesn't hang, requiring a restart of FSX. Also, if I want to switch applications while running FSX I'll go to windowed mode before switching and it goes and comes without hanging. Using the shutdown in windowed mode method seems to allow switching apps in full screen but it's slow but doesn't hang.

Thank you for the reply but, I'm sorry, I'm just not getting it. I need to clarify something though. I am attempting to ad total distance remaining to an existing gauge. It's the Lear-45 Enhancements by Alexander Barthel that's available here at Avsim. I want to put it at the top right on the map page where it now shows 15NM. It remains 15 at all times. Groundspeed TAS and Temp are correct. Try as I may I can't get the total miles to destination to show up. All I want to do is display the miles but no matter what combination I've tried It just doesn't work. Spent about a week, couple hours a night, trying to make it work. I know nothing about XML programming and I can't find the information to point me in the right direction.Can someone show me how to display this. I tried putting the ......>/String> statement where in the gauge file where it should show but not only does it not show but the unrelated line below disappears. I've got it to display 0.0 NM but can't get anything else. I'm missing something about the variable I think.

Hey, thanks for the comeback. I might just have to give it a try. CitationX has a slight performance hit too.[test] just to see if I can do brackets, nothing to do with the plane.

Try this Mike. Go to options/settings/general and look under "Program" for "Use system time for free flight" and uncheck the box next to it. Then you should be able to go to World/Time and Season and change the time to what ever you want.

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree. If my memory serves me correctly all versions from at least FS98 forward worked the way they FSX did pre SP1 with the "W" key eliminating side and rear obstruction as well as the instrument panel. I just can't beleive that after almost 10 years someone suddenly decided that it had been wrong all that time. That doesn't make sense to me. It's not logical as Mr Spock would say.

Do any who have this problem have the CitationX/Wilco? I am having this problem when switching from the Citation to the Lear or any other default aircraft. Switching from the Citation to the Cessna 152 and putting the selector to "both" fixes it untill I fly the Citation X again. I didn't have this problem when I first started flying the Citation. Problem showed up before the Citation service pack but I can't say if it was happeinig before the FSX SP1. Weird.

Doggone, they don't say anything about uninstalling first. I get "cannot install because nocandy model is the wrong version" What the heck? Anybody else verify that uninstalling and reinstalling works then applying patch works?

That sounds familliar but I can't find it anywhere.

I renamed the FSX.cfg so it would rebuild and now have clouds but still have a black sky. No dawn sun although it does refelect off the plane and buildings. I hadn't changed anything in there anyway

Totally black above the horizon except for trees, radio towers or buildings that extend above it. No stars at night, no clouds no sun on the horizon at dusk or dawn. The simulator is fluid now compared to before, stutters are for the most part gone. That was my main problem before. edit:Need to add that in windowed mode the top 1" or so of the screen doesn't refresh. What ever is up there, stays there.Any ideas?

If you like to fly the default Lear then Alexander Barthel's Learjet 45 enhancements is a must. Fixes bugs, ads map, radar altimeter and other things. He's done a great job. It's here at Avsim as a download today. Thanks Alex great job!!

I ain't believing this s***!!! I've been sitting here for two hours trying to get this darn cabdir.exe to work. Changing directories, and typing in a long path to get to the subfolder under the panel that had my gauges in it. I kept getting this error: must specify a wild card, directory or cab file with destination.When I finally decided that I couldn't have been the only one that's had this problem I searched here and man, that works like a charm. Dragging and dropping. Couldn'd be simpler than that. Actually, it put the .cab file in the panel folder just like it's supposed to do when you do it from the command prompt. Sure wish I'd looked here a couple hours ago. Thanks!

Glad to hear my suggestion was usefull.I also noticed when using the Ctrl + Q method that it's only temporary. If you look to one side or the other then return to forward the view angle is back to the original setting.
