April 3, 201214 yr Hey there, I currently have fsx installed on a SSD hard drive. Windows is installed on my HDD. I am running my 2600k over clocked to 4.4 using the gigabyte tool found on their website. I have Rex installed on the HDD. I run a GeForce 560ti at stock speeds. I receive stuttering with both settings all the way to the left and all the way to the right in fsx. I use inspector tuned up as PMDG's Ryan recommends with frames locked at 30fps. Hyperthreading is turned off and i have run my cfg through bojotes tool as well. With no success solving the stutters I am wondering if running fsx off the SSD is causing stutters even though Rex is on my HDD. Addons I have installed are: Orbx pnw/rockies/all fsdt airport/flytampa airports/and the pmdg NGX is my plane of choice where I spend most of my one flying (I'm not sure if this is in the right forum. My apologies if it is not. I'm not sure how to move it if it isnt without just adding the thread in another section as well) Regards, Aaron
April 3, 201214 yr Bojotes tweaking tool doesnt always work, it may get you into the ball park then you will need to do some tweaks to get it right. Secondly the latest drivers for the 560ti have being causing issues, i hav gone back to the 285.62 to be stable.Your drive setup is finr, although you would be better having the scenery on another drive or on its own partition to keep it defragmented. Anything on C drive gets fragmeted fairly quickly.
April 3, 201214 yr Author Mjrhealth, I appreciate your reply. Would you think it necessary to use a program such as o&o defrag to defrag my c drive or is the windows 7 default defrag fine since my fsx is on my ssd? Thanks! Aaron Regards, Aaron
