I'm looking at signing up for IVAO, but my question is do you have to speak to the controllers or can you type in what you want to say?

I dont fly on ivao, i fly on vatsim, but i imagine that the same applies for ivao as applies on vatsim. You can use text for communicating with the controller, but it does make things far more difficult. You'd have to keep your hands on the keyboard instead of on your yoke / joystick, and this can be a problem, especially when youre on short final and need to talk to the tower controller. I would very highly recommend using voice only

Txt is fine but voice obviously is better if you are capable.
