Realise Tupolev-204 family (204/214/234) panning on jule of this years!

Yup I found out about the panel and its author NeshRik. In all my research I wasn't able to find anywhere where he prohibits its use by other developers or specifically for this model here. Seen even a thread where there's direct communication between NeshRik and Sapogi (aka 'Polozhenets') out there too. NeshRik knows his panel and gauges are used in this model and appears to be completely ok with it. In the end if he authorises it to be used like this, then that's it.

But in all fairness, my belief is that clear credit should be given to NeshRik (and anyone else's work involved) for the panel and gauges, when this Tu-204 package is fully released. It would only be fair and if not done I would be disappointed and sadly find myself not using this release here at all. I can not support the use of others' work without them being recognised and given credit.

I wasn't aware that the model here may have originated from Kirill Konovalov and that it may have been used without his permission. If true that would be a serious breach of Kirill's EULA, and it would be highly disappointing if this is the case.

Sapogi, I'm sorry but going to need you to clarify on this one. Is it true?

During my research into all this, I found there's been conflicts between developers on Tu-204 projects, especially in the past. This is not something that would be appropriate for me to involve myself into or take anyone's side and I remain completely neutral. But if Kirill's copyright have been violated - that is a serious matter and needs to be clarified. If he wishes to pursue this he is welcome to contact me directly and tell me the story about all this along with any evidence he wishes to provide - he can PM me through the forums here or send me an e-mail at:

dmomtchil [at] avsim [dot] com

If the allegations are true appropriate action will be taken. But first Kirill needs to get in touch with me, otherwise there's not much I can do - need concrete facts.

hey sapogi, do i need to use this proper panel for all the animations to work, like thrust reversers, spoilers, gears etc?

Also, for textures maybe you could contact Denis Minaev. His email: fsrepaint [at] mail [dot] ru

Edited written e-mail to make it spam proof - please do not post e-mail addresses in public forums like you did, its very easily taken by Email Grab Bots. Be more considerate especially when putting forward some else's e-mail.

Sapogi I am very pleased with this model that you have brought us to fs2004. I am enjoying this very much but Id like to see animated fan blades, much better textures, and the problem of the wheels floating just above the ground. And I like the fact as I dont have to use the proper panel to see all functions, thank you :)

Cheers!

Alex

That's exactly what I talked about.

I'm not sure what do you mean? There were many attempts (projects) to create Tu-204, the longest one is our, but inside our team there has been never conflicts, Sapogi is not member of our team, NeshRik too. So what you are talking about?

The different developers on Tu-204 projects have had spats and arguments between them. I don't mean your specific effort / team, but generally over the years between the different freeware developers involved in Tu-204 Flight Sim work.

Like I said before feel free to let Kirill know if he wants to contact me about any EULA breaches of his work; and if there have been any by Sapogi - appropriate action will be taken with regard to this thread. Without Kirill's say in this, there's nothing I can do.

Momtchil, at the moment I was aware of one really good project of Tu-204, started by Project Tupolev, all other "tries" are unknown for me, so this is the reason why I was wondered about your words. Nevermind. I contacted Kirill, let see if he want and will say something. Like I said, the model was never released officially, so Sapogi could get the model in an illegal way only, and to prove this I'll compare both models in ACM.

OK, like I promised, here is the comarison of both models made in ACM:

model "by Sapogi"

and model by Kirill Konovalov

Of course all the liveries made for Kirill's model do fit to "Sapogi's" one. It looks like he was not able to get VC out of the original model, so he tries to build own one.

In case of deeper investigation I would be able to offer the original model to admins for comparison, but only under Kirill's agreement. Otherwise I can provide you with test livery of Kirill's original model, it will fit to Sapogi's model perfectly.

icebear777,

can you PM me (don't post it here) Kiril's current e-mail? - not sure the one I have for him is still active.

I'll try and get in touch with him.

EDIT 4/12/12:

Its confirmed, the model was stolen from Kirill. The thread will now be locked and all links to the project removed - we will not serve as an advertisement for this kind of activity.

We condone the theft of others' work and I'm very disappointed with Sapogi and what's been going on in this Tu-204 project. First the use of someone else's (NeshRick and contributors) panel and gauges without them being given any credit (doesn't matter if they do not wish to pursue this or not - they should be given credit) and then the actual theft of Kirill's Tu-204 model; and then finally presenting all that as your own work.

I will not be using this Tu-204 and I advise everyone else not to either. If you have it delete it from your hard drive. What's happened here is the theft of other freeware authors work.

Hopefully we'll have a good Tu-204 at some point in the future. I'm sorry to say though that its definitely not going to be this one here.

Icebear, thank you for helping to bring all this to light.
