What does " You have control " do?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I just recently purchased " FS2Crew 2010 Voice Commander " for PMDG's 747 and I am loving it so far, but I have a few questions. First question, what does the phrase " You have control " do? Second question, is the first officer able to take-off or land for you at all? Third and last question, is there any ways to reverse roles? For example, I want to be the FO and take orders from the Captain. Is it possible?

Thank you in advance,

David

Hi David,

You have control: Not much. I forget but he might engage autopilot B.

Basically the FO can't fly the plane and you can't reverse roles.

How would the computer FO know where or what to do or go?

The computer FO can't see the simulation the way a human can.

Maybe in 10 years!

Cheers,

Thank you Bryan, but can you tell me what the uploader of this video is using:

? At around 48 seconds in, he states " you got control, I got landing lights " and the FO responds.

Thanks,

David
