April 11, 200422 yr Hi All,I've enjoyed flying Islands such as Tahiti, Bora Bora etc. Beautiful scenery and some very nice addons make it a great area with good framerates. Here's the mystery:My favorite islands don't show up anymore on the "Go to Airport" screen. The Islands I'm interested in all have airport codes which start with NTT (Tahiti = NTTA, Bora Bora = NTTB etc.). Nothing is listed for any airports whose airport code begins with NTT. Also, I couldn't locate any of the airports by entering their name. I did make sure that I clicked on "Any" to insure that I was searching in all countries and areas. Thanks in advance for your help.Howard
April 12, 200422 yr HowardDid you click "Clear Filter" and check "Search Addon Scenery?" I'm not really sure what the second one does though. Under default scenery I have NTTB,C,H,M,O,P,R, and X. Can you bring them up in the GPS?David
April 12, 200422 yr Howdy,Errr ... just a thought, but have you tried looking under "French Polynesia" in the Country/Region filter?Just finished installing and flying around Kazuo Kawamura's Leeward Tahiti Islands 2K4 scenery (available from Flightsim.com). Very, very nice, if somewhat "painterly".
April 12, 200422 yr What happens if you search Faaa (Tahiti airport), Temae (Moorea airport), Motu Mute (Bora Bora airport), Fare (Huahine airport)...?../)_/). _ Cl
April 13, 200422 yr Author Hi Folks,Thanks for you replies, I tried all suggestions but unfortunately nothing worked. Any airport with code starting with NTT doesn't show up either by name, code or whatever - same for French Polynesia.Oh well, I may have to reload fs2004 - yuck. Thanks anyway for your help,Howard
April 14, 200422 yr Author Hi Folks,French Polynesia is happily back where it belongs in my flight sim.Just figured out what happened.I have a fantastic addon package from Lynn and Bill Lyons (Golden Hawaii) which has a program which lets you switch to scenery of 1937 (for Hawaii) or back to default fs2004 (Hawaii)scenery. If you leave it in 1937 mode, then it blocks out the French Polynesia scenery! In reality it's really not a problem as long as you remember to switch it back to default.I'm posting more info about this great Lynn and Bill Lyon's addon.Loads of fun, definately recommended.Howard
