Can't get rid of flying tips

I've disabled the stupid flying tips in FS9, but they keep popping up. The worst offenders are the altimeter not set, and low fuel warnings. Anyone have any idea how to disable them permanently?

There are two things you should disable.

 

One is in the General settings tab "Show cockpit tooltips"

I personally have this set to on.

 

The setting that may be causing you trouble is in the "REALISM" settings.

At the top of page there is a display "flying tips" check box ,uncheck that and peace should reign ever after.
