For those Feelthere CRJ owners out there...

Featured Replies

For those Feelthere CRJ owners out there....................................I'm looking for some feedback on this airplane, if some of you owners could share with us some information that would be very much appreciated. In my case I would like to know the following:1.- How smooth are the gauges, are they comparable to RealityXP and/or PMDG smoothness?2.- How complex is the FMS, does it support holds?3.- Does the airplane require a high amount of thrust to start moving on the ground? (of course :(). This might sound irrelevant but for me is not; at some level it could be an indication of how detailed and well modeled the flight dynamics are on this airplane. If you are a PMDG owner you would notice how great this airplane reacts on the ground, is the CRJ similar?4.- In the latest screenshots I noticed there were several switches without the switches or knobs (especially on the overhead panel), these screenshots are on Wilco's site and looks like finished product, so, are there several switches missing in the different panels? AND, are there too many dummy switches?I think that's all for now, any feedback is appreciated.Thanks,Carlos.

I went and bought the CRJ so I'm going to respond to myself so other people can also use the feedback.1.- Jerky, not smooth, not even close. But, there's great potential for improvement in the future.2.- In a scale from 1 to 10 where 10 is the real FMS I would say 5, a great balance for the value. It's a great airplane to fly on the run in those days you don't want to spend several minutes on the preflight.3.- THE BEST FLIGHT DYNAMICS YOU CAN FIND, period.4.- All the switches are there, but 50% of them are dummies. There you have it, keep reading around if you are thinking about buying this airplane. I would buy it again, it does exactly what I wanted, it's perfect for those quick flights (with a good dose of realism and complexity).Carlos.

Im going to buy this plane soon (probably this friday) and I like the realism balance. It's complex enough to be very good and have the real feel of a CRJ, but not so complex that I need like a hour just to set everything up so I can start taxing.

I think I am glad I waited and didn't jump on it.

could somebody post a screenshot or tell me what it looks like flying in the VC? Id like to see how far away the airspeed and alt are because its so hard to read in most airplanes, the posky model had a wonderufl VC but hard to read gauges!!

"3.- THE BEST FLIGHT DYNAMICS YOU CAN FIND, period."I would agree that the FDE is excellent, the best part of the package, I would almost say the FDE alone is worth the asking price, but at $30 I can't really.Dan.
