Zoom rate

I have two installations of FSX, one on XP and one on W7.

 

On W7, the zoom rate using <Ctrl> + is very much slower than on XP.

 

Is there any way I can increase the zoom rate?

Maybe its that the key repeat speed in Windows are set different? Ctrl- and+ are pretty slow for me in Vista too. It doesn't even work in some views which I'm not sure why.
