April 13, 201214 yr The other night I couldn't get my EHSI to lock to a GPS course. It was just the indication as the aircraft was tracking the GPS course fine, but I was still seeing the CDI needle following the VOR station rather than the GPS course. Yes, I did select GPS on the GNS400. Tonight it worked fine. What I did differently was select the GPS function from the Annunciator panel in front of you rather than from the GNS400. Just push the OBS button to switch and that gets your EHSI reading the GPS course for you. Hope that helps.
