I would like to ask you opinion.

 

Currently i got 2 HDD

 

both very old.. i think around 2004 and 2006 built

 

one Maxtor Diamond max 9 160GB 7200RPM 8MB

 

and one Seagate Barracuda 200GB 7200RPM 8MB

 

recent years i been only upgrading MB or CPU and GPU but recently i did a deep cleaning and realized i think its time for upgrade of my HDD.

 

whats the best to do so it won't be too expensive. i want to save some money on MB and CPU upgrade in a month or too for Ivy or Sandy. Depends what is worth.

 

I was looking for the

 

WD Caviar Green 1TB 6Gb/s 64MB for 75GBP 2 of them

 

or is it worth getting the Caviar black for 120GBP almost 2x more expensive and the same size 1TB.

Do not go green. It's a good disk for storage, but no good for FSX.

 

Either get the black, it's definitely worth with its cache, or the 600GB WD Raptor (in my sig).

Thanx the raptor is around 180GBP so I think I go black
