  1. I have the same problem - can someone resolve this issue for me?
  2. To upgrade to the latest driver, head over to http://www.geforce.com/drivers and fill out the information for your computer in the "Manual Driver Search" form. Then, download the latest Nvidia Driver and install the driver. After, I always restart my PC for good measure. Also, there is no "best version" for FSX. Simply choose the latest driver that is a WHQL(official driver release).
  3. Did you upgrade or clean install the new OS? If you simply upgraded, delete your shader cache and try again.
  4. That's unfortunate. I use Prepar3d 2.5 and the upgrade from Win7 to Win10 was flawless. So far, I have had absolutely no issues with compatibility with ANY of my addon software or other programs that I have installed. I am very pleased with Windows 10. I reckon that this will become the new OS of choice for us flight simmers due to its inherent backwards compatibility and ease of use with a desktop(ability to switch from Desktop and Tablet Mode). I agree. I am greatly enjoying it so far. Gorgeous menus and options screens as well.
  5. Ehh it varies person to person. With me, using the Saitek equipment, I found flying a Cessna 172 in real life not to be too far off from the simulator.
  6. Thanks for the explanation. Also, if no obstacles are in the way, should FIELD technically be the standard LIMIT code? Does that make sense? Precisely this.... Most heavy takeoffs above 700,000LBS rarely are at Flaps 15. The only time I ever get a Flaps 15 calculation is when I am at moderate loads (550-680k LBS) paired with a 9-10k foot runway. However, 90% of the time, takeoffs are at Flaps 5 due to the takeoff thrust required being slightly lower which reduces costs for the airline and the chances of an engine failure on departure. Last week out of LAX, I had my first Flaps 15 departure in a while due to my weight being 680,000LBS and using the shorter (10,100feet) runway 24L. Although, the thrust required was Full-TO with bleeds off.-This was the case due to the increased drag from the Flaps 15 setting that needed to be overcome with an increased level of thrust. Even though the takeoff roll was relatively short, the intial climb was only a shallow 11-13 degrees...
  7. Yes I've seen this on a few occassions. What exactly does this mean?
  8. This is not accurate in many scenarios. You have to remember that these calculations take into account loosing an engine just at or after V1. If its hot, high, and your heavy, chances are, Flaps 15 or 20 will induce way too much drag for you to safely be able to loose an engine at V1 and still have enough thrust to overcome the drag forces in order to proceed with the liftoff and climb out. That is one of the critical factors for takeoff thrust calculations that many are likely forgetting. Overall, in most cases, heavier does not = more flaps.
  9. You have to take into account drag as a result of higher flap settings. Most of the time at heavy weights and a long runway, Flaps 5 is plenty. - At the same weight, Flaps 15 would only increase drag while reducing takeoff distance by a small amount. The increased drag would need to be offset with a higher thrust setting.
  10. Completely agree... The fact that OP seems to be mortified that someone uploaded a pirated T7 copy also seems a bit extreme. Honestly, it's everywhere and every bit of payware software around likely has users that crack the software and illegally distribute it. - Just the nature of the internet and the greed of humanity. This^
  11. Not sure the exact cause but likely due to not enough voltage. I'd reset bios settings and flash the latest bios firmware for your board. To test for stability run Intel Burn Test(standard run) and P95 small fft(6 hours).- I use this method and was rock solid for 2 years on my Sandy bridge build.
  12. Following what you said, no sales would be lost considering the PMDG T7 is not compatible with P3D. Also, I don't understand the notion that the community has "switched" to P3D since the arrival of v2. FSX is still alive and well and still holds the vast majority of the market-share.
  13. Do you live near a Google Fiber service region? If so, it has been said that the ISPs near Google Fiber networks have now begun the process of increasing speeds in order to retain customers that might otherwise switch to the much faster, more reliable Google Fiber network.
  14. Simroutes is the culprit. They likely are using some type of older navdata software that is causing an interruption in the normal route import process.
  15. I use pfpx to load my routes to OMDB fly tampa and have no issues Hmmm... I've been eyeing PFPX for a while now due to the extensive flight planning features that I've seen so far. I'll probably splurge and buy it when I get my next paycheck. This is the route I used: KSFO-OMDB RBL LKV IMB KS21I YZU 5500N 11500W 6100N 11000W LENOT 7230N 09000W 7700N 08000W 8100N 06000W 8200N 04000W 8200N 02000W 8000N 00000E BJO MAGIR SDA P65 VANOS A74 PELOR G476 OLBAN G476 UREPI B958 BD BD3T FV R11 GUSLI M54 TAVRO M54 ADILA N82 ADANO N77 MAGRI UR654 ZAJ R654 SAV UP574 SYZ G666 ORSAR B416 DESDI I currently run the latest version of Navigraph AIRAC data. - I'm not sure as to what version Simroutes uses though.
  16. Honestly, I apologize for being a straight up jerk. - I have a tendency to be excessively harsh when it comes to support requests. Frankly, being rude ain't gun' do nuthin'. I should probably step away and take a breather before spouting off on an internet forum next time. Anyways, I found that OMDB(Dubai) as a destination in the route file always will trigger this glitch. - I took the time to do a clean install of the T7 just to narrow it down. (following Ryan's instructions). For some reason, Simroutes.com puts an entry for OMDB that the T7 FMC doesn't like. Any ideas on how to resolve?
  17. I'd rather get real help from PMDG via their support portal.
  18. Did you read the posting?
  19. After toying around in the T7 and SP1, I have continued to run into a problem. Interestingly, this issue occurs only on some routes - I do my preflights all the same way and I can't seem to figure out why this problem occurs in about 50% of my flights. I have not yet noticed any correlation between routes etc. Seemingly occurs at random..... When I click the button to load the route (provided from Simroutes.com) into the FMC via data-link, an error appears that reads, "Invalid Route Uplink". Soon afterwards, a string of text in FSX appears telling me that the route file has some sort of error with the destination. Things I have done to try and resolve the problem: - Searched the forums endlessly - Deleted and re-downloaded new route files for the same pair of airports - Read manuals to no avail - Verified latest installation for the 77L and 77W Anyways, I sure hope I am overlooking something blatantly obvious or I may now be "hired" as a beta team member for finding an issue as such! - Ben Cap

  21. Considering he said "no surprises this time", I would bet it will probably be released pretty soon... right? ...........
  22. That's truly magnificent. Ya'll are running circles around alot of the other devs with new technology such as this... very exciting stuff!!
  23. WOW!! Thanks so much for doing the videos guys... This stuff looks fantastic!
