  1. I completely agree... Don't get me wrong - I sure love my new GE90s :Big Grin:
  2. I doubt "development costs" would be very high for such a mediocre scenery.
  3. Sounds very biased.... Brace yourself for the war.
  4. I was thinking the same exact thing. I often get skeptical when devs begin to announce products without any real substance to show.
  5. Call me old school but I am still chugging along with Active Sky Evolution. I have failed to see anything remotely better on the market and I feel inclined to believe that most of these new "weather engines" are mere service packs marketed as "new" products... Until I see results that look extremely accurate without the FSX weather issues, I think I am going to hold onto my money rather than fall for a marketing gimmick.

  7. Sorry about the link guys... I'll try to get it fixed later.
  8. Maybe within the next 6 months. I remember that they mentioned work on it. I'd like an official word from PMDG about it....
  9. If you ride an NG IRL, there is a moderate difference in engine spool up/down speeds. I personally think that it does make quite difference in the sound of the engine.
  10. It depends on runway length, temp, and weight. Sometimes, if it is hot and I'm heavy, I use a bit more thrust than the -800 calculation due to the higher VSpeeds and smaller rotation angle. Besides this, I just use the -800 calculations and they work fine. Albeit, the takeoff rolls are really long in a derated -900 takeoff above 150K lbs. (8000+ feet) Could you link me? (Unable to find)
  11. Oh yes it is. Going to a Haswell at 4.4GHZ + GTX780 would give you likely 50+% performance improvements.
  12. It actually dawned on me recently that we actually do more harm than good by pushing devs to release unfinished products. It is mighty unfortunate that there are few high quality developers around anymore.
  13. This is your problem right here. If you use Eyefinity to stretch your image across the three displays, your issues would be resolved.
  14. The 2700K is actually a higher binned version of the same 2600K CPU. Higher binned chips are stable at lower voltages with the same or higher clockspeed as their 2600K counterparts.
