April 21, 200422 yr I got a strange problem and found on the web no solution (so far).I still use the FS2002 and find a megnetic derivation of almost exactly +40 degrees. This does happen most of the time. I already tried creating a new FS2002.cfg, deleted AF2XXX files from the sceneries, pushed the D key, whatsoever it still remains. The strange thing is, when I start the FS with the default Cessna it does not happen (not often). Where is the bug?Martin
April 21, 200422 yr Author Do you have gyro drift on in the realism settings? Try turning it off. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
April 21, 200422 yr I've got the same problem, got the deviation down to -9 degrees ( from -91) by deleting scenery areas.:-wavePete
April 21, 200422 yr Magnetic Deviation (not derivation) or magnetic variation?First what is the magnetic variation for the area you are flying in? Deviation is compass error that is aircraft specific and I don
April 22, 200422 yr Of course I meant deviation. Sorry. Of course I tried turning of the gyro drift, and so on. I read also articles in other forums. Nothing worked. Seems I have to wait for better days with FS9 - still have to earn a bit more money to buy a new PC. Thanks.
April 22, 200422 yr Author You mentioned deleting AF2xxx files? What are these? You aren't using Afcad2 files back in fs2002 are you? More information would help. We all flew FS2002 for a long time and I never remember hearing about this. Is it a specific plane? Did you install custom scenery? ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
