April 22, 200422 yr When sitting at the gate waiting to take off almost all my planes move foward very slowly without touching the joystick or keyboard. I calibrated my joystick so I don't think the throttles are a problem. Does this happen with anyone else? How do I stop them from moving foward like they do?
April 22, 200422 yr It's something you'll have to put up with, I'm afraid :-roll It's an FS9 issue that'll hopefully be removed in the next version of the sim.James
April 22, 200422 yr It's a joystick calibration probelm if ALL the aircraft do this. Only the turboprops are supposed to roll at idle, and thats been covered plenty of times, including the fix. Search on the forum and you'll find it.Quick check, when the plane is idling press F1 and see if the throttle(s) move. If they do, then you have a joystick calibration problem. It's nothing to do with FS, by the way.Allcott
April 23, 200422 yr Author I pressed F1 and the throttles did not move, so it's not my joystick. I guess it is a FS9 issue.
April 23, 200422 yr Joseph.I'm not sure what type planes your flying or if you have prop controls or not, if your flying something with vari speed prop try hitting "Ctrl+F1" This just sets your prop RPM to low, see if your plane stays put.If that works use it, when your ready to fly hit "Ctrl+F4"I have prop controls on my yoke, If I pull it back and leave the throttle down I can release the park brake and sit in same spot while doing all prefight stuff, My Plane doesn't creap so I don't think it's a CoF problem. At least not one that I've seen yet. However I don't fly heavies or jets in Cof, I stick to Otters, Beavers, Cubs, I use FU3 for flying heavies.Have Fun :-vuurAllanBush Flying Unlimitedhttp://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif
April 23, 200422 yr Hello Joseph,Throttles will not move visibly, since the bug sets the throttles to only 0.6%, but F1 should resolve your issue nonetheless.
