Hi All.I have a weird thing with my FS9.cfg file, a few weeks ago I noticed that there were two of them, in the correct place by the way, one a few hours older than the other one, but both with the same date, I deleted one and my settings went back to default, it doesent seem to matter which one I delete as the FS9 goes back to default settings every time,I have just discovered that I now have two .cfg files yet again,anyone know why this may be,or if there is a way to solve this,I haven't changed anything as such, and I have complete admin on Win XP Pro.thanks in advance for any help,Steve.

If you look closely at the file charactersitics, one is a.cfg, one is .cfg.txt. They look identical because you have wordpad or notepad opening both types of file. If its reverting back to default you may have accidentally turned the .cfg file into a `read only` file.Allcott

Any idea why there is a *.cfg file and a *.txt file Allcott?

The only time I've seen the .txt file is after an error has occured, It's the file that is sent to MS (among others that may be generated from an error) if you choose to send the info.Kurt M
