Brake temp after landing

Recommended Posts

Should the brake temprature be 0 after landing? I was hoping the brake disc would be glowing (showing a bit of heat), a bit like you get on the 747 Queen of the sky?

737 brakes DON'T glow after a normal landing. NEVER.

That's not a temperature indicator per se. It doesn't show the current temperature of the brakes. It's a different kind of scale.

Brake Temperature

Indicates a relative value of wheel brake temperature

•values range from 0.0 to 9.9

•displayed (white) - normal brake temperature range, 0.0 to 4.9

•displayed (amber) - high brake temperature, exceeds 4.9.
