April 24, 200422 yr Hi,I noticed that David Maltby's VC-10 package is in the 'hottest files' section. So I just thought I'd let anybody who isn't already aware know, that David recently released some superb updates for all the VC-10 variants. These updates include opening doors, stairs, engine covers, wing views, and superb wing flexing. Added to which, the Royal Air Force C1K variant now has trailing refueling hoses. So if the mighty '10' is in anyones hanger, they may want to pop over to www.maltbyd.fsnet.co.uk and download these excellent updates.
April 24, 200422 yr Thanks for the heads-up Al, I already have them in my hanger, but these up dates will not go a miss eitherSteve
April 24, 200422 yr Hi Al,I don't know what I haven't done,or what I have missed, but I'm buggered if I can get the doors/stairs to open, let alone the engine bay doors etc.I have downloaded the up-dates from Daves site, but I have obviousley missed something ?Steve.
April 24, 200422 yr Ha, I had missed something, I didn't realise that we have to re-download the Base Pack's for the relevant a/c, then just copy / paste them over the ones we already have got, what a plonker, told you I HAD missed something, well, you live and learn, and they all now work great, love the Yellow engine covers for the BA super VC10, and the BA coloured air stairs, the FAR ones look good too.Steve
April 24, 200422 yr thanks for the tip ;-)love that oldie....one of the most graceful aircraft ever built...beats Boeing by a longshot ;-)
April 25, 200422 yr No probs guys. Glad you are enjoying David's excellent updates. He's a real 'silent force' in the simming world!
April 25, 200422 yr Hi again Al.I have been flying the VC10 today, took a few mins to get used to the auto pilot on the panel as I haven't used it for a while, so, is there a way to alter the climb - decent rate fpm, I couldent see it if it is there, had to keep using FS Nav to do it.thanksSteve.
