fsx stopped working?

Featured Replies

Hey fallows,

today i flew a traffic pattern at gatwick, online, and when i already landed, i got a massage: "fsx stopped working" ok, afterthat i did another flight from zurich to innsbruck, online, i got right in the beginning, another massage and i had to close the fsx, so i tried another flight the very same one, and when i landed at innsbruck i got another one. what can i do about it? please help me with the frustration, all the flights were with the NGX, i didn't do any special things before, i have just installed some new liveries (8) but i don't hink that's the problem.. thanks!

Hi Daniel

Understand how frustrating this must be. I do not understand the structure if fsx well enough to advise you technically, but I have taught amongst other things fault finding techniques to college students. So the starting point is in the symptoms. If the symptoms are accurate, then you have a starting point. When was the last time the system functioned correctly. What has changed since. How can I get it back to when it last worked properly. In windows systems, if restore points have been set at a regular interval, then you should be able to restore your system say to 1 week ago, and it will put all the files back how they were when perhaps it last functioned correctly. You would lose any downloads from that day onwards, but hopefully that is not a disaster as I am sure you would have backed these up. Hope this helps a little if no better options are suggested

Kind Regards

Hi again Daniel.

You may not have touched anything but maybe, just maybe those 8 liveries you installed did, and uninstalling them to test may not put it right. How can you be sure that guage files have not been corrupted. but it is your system and you must tackle the problem as you see fit. With the information you have provided regarding the problem, think you may need a crystal ball to detect the issue.LOL

Kind regards
