Is there a lower hit than 5% traffic?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I set my traffic at 5% as AI traffic hits my frames hard but I don't like it completely empty. Just a jet or two adds a lot to the sim for me. I've read the default aircraft I use are huge CPU hogs but when I've added MTX before, even at 1% it adds so many planes (e.g at Heathrow) it hits my FPS hard. Is there a way I can just have 6 or 7 highly optimised jets around? so I'm not completely alone, they have realistic liveries but a negligible effect on CPU at major airports (I understand the defaults try to connact to jetways and have quite a lot of polys so they h it FPS hard).

Hope you can help

You could try (in the very meaning of the word) Ultimate Trafffic 2. It allows for a setup with e.g. a fps target and also enables some values like 'max planes to show up' (my words). I'm pretty happy with the model detail and the low fps impact. However, that all depends on your system in use and the overall sim preferences. So a dense autogen may lead to less headroom for nice AI and so on.

On the trying. UT2 comes as Flight1 downloader plus 30 day money back policy.

I'm not so much knowledgeable on MTX, but I think if offers some options too. Maybe another guy can help.
