Sounds Question re CLS A310

Featured Replies

I enjoy the CLS A300/A310 package however i am trying to correct one issue which sort of cuts into the experience for me and that is the issue of their sound package. Essentially the primary problem is that when viewed from an exterior view the engines sound like they are at full throttle even if the engines are not running. I have of course visited the CLS forums regarding this topic but inquiries regarding this subject have been met with deafening silence and so I took the hint that it is one of those "acceptable losses" type of scenarios that is not going to be fixed, so I turn instead to the expertise of the AVSIM.

My initial thought is to figure out a way to simply swap out the sounds folder that comes with the CLS package for some comparable aircraft's sound files that function properly. Would this work? And is it a simple matter of copying and pasting folders? This is the point at which I am unsure and do not want to commit some error that makes things worse. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you in advance.

YYes, just backup old sound folder and drop any new one there, it really can't cause any damage to anything, though I am not sure if it will fix the problem.
