Ensure that the PERF INIT page is complete (press the EXEC button). Then press the LEGS key, then the RTE DATA key at 6R. Then enter your winds (e.g., 254/34. You can only enter winds for the waypoints at your cruise altitude(s).

But in can set this winds when you're in crz, right?

You can change the winds if you are in cruise, yes.

Hi Skeith93

FYI the PERF INIT winds and temp data are entered from off of your flight plan if you have one. Some airlines may have different proceedures (SOPs) but the FMC uses the wind & temp data entered in the PERF INIT for climb calculations. (i.e. climbing indicated airspeed based on 2/3 of top of climb wind entered) So if you have a realistic flight plan from somewhere you will enter into this page the Top Of Climb wind and temp, then go to LEGs page, then select RTE data and enter all the winds from each waypoint, this will give you the most accurate position reporting for cruising inflight.

On the other hand if you dont have a professional looking flight plan but use ASE for weather then you can just enter the average wind for the trip into the PERF INIT page and leave the winds from the LEGS/RTE page alone. This will still give you an accuate arrival time and total fuel on arrival figure but a not so accurate waypoint to waypoint arrival times. Also the climbing indicated speed will not be the most economic if the average CRZ wind enter is much different from the TOC wind.
