May 9, 201214 yr The last couple of times testing FSX today for while tweking my ENB .ini I have been getting black screen(recoverable) and the one reboot. In the event viewer I get this as the cause. No error was projected before or after the reboot but here is the event log. //./root/CIMV2 SELECT * FROM __InstanceModificationEvent WITHIN 60 WHERE TargetInstance ISA "Win32_Processor" AND TargetInstance.LoadPercentage > 99 0x80041003 The alarming thing is that what the viewer revealed is that I get these every day. I have hundreds of these in the WMI section. I guess they only today started crashing my computer with FSX running. Any ideas? Thanks Marc Lynn
May 9, 201214 yr Any ideas? The fix - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-US;2545227. A lot of people, including me, have had problem with the ENB. I understand ENB is different than the payware Shade but I deleted the ENB series and installed Shade. For me ENB just caused too many headaches for me. Many others have had absolutely no problems. According to the Internet, this error happens due to a 32 bit application (ENB) being installed and initiated on a 64 bit. platform. Best regards, Jim
May 9, 201214 yr Author Actually it turns out it is the Windows bug that throws that warning on every boot but only in the even viewer. It has nothing to do with ENB or my spontaneouse reboot yesterday. It turns out the reboot did not throw any error in the event viewer at all. This is 2 different things but the timing was so close I mistook it. So far I have been good this time around with ENB with the d3d9_26 in there as well and after many flights while testing in the ultralight I got the problem. I agree though that the reboot could have been ENB related. However ENB has revolutionized the apearance of my FSX so much I am going to have a hard time removing it now. Thanks Marc Lynn
May 9, 201214 yr ENB has revolutionized the apearance of my FSX so much I am going to have a hard time removing it now. Yes, a lot of people really like it (as well as I did once). Do you have Shade installed too? Shade is one of the best and cheapest programs I have ever seen for an FSX addon. Best regards, Jim
May 9, 201214 yr Author Yes I have Shade as well. I have the combo looking as close to real daylight as I have ever seen. Just unbeleivable. I just pray it does not crash but I think I have got that solved. Hopefully anyway. Marc Lynn
