Defenetly that mesh you are using is a bit below standard!! and you can see the results! It need a medicine to get fixed!Download this Vancouver area at 38.2 m - cded terrain at this address:http://www.fsrapid.com/2003/november/cded_vancouver.zipMake sure you delete that 'cemetery' mesh you have installed first! If you like more of canada cded - bc at 38.2 and complete coverage rest of canada cded terrain at 76.4 m - Mapserver at www.fsproject.com/mapserver will do it for you - direct download - at 1.6 Gb of great canadian terrains.ray

Howdy, the only add-on mesh files I know of that have this undesired "side effects" are some of Rob Gainer's earlier mesh creations, specifically the Alaska mesh (flattens all of North America) and the Oregon/Washington mesh (similar effect but on a smaller scale). Try disabling those files, if you have them installed. Another option is that some add-on scenery (not mesh) has set an overly large flatten switch. I've heard rumors that one of the aircraft carrier packages does that but I don't remember the details. Anyone else?In any case, please let us know which files are the problematic ones, as other users might have similar issues.Cheers, Holger

Hello Ray and Holger,I did reload the FsFreeware mesh (was already loaded) and Bingo the hills are back! Concerning the R Gainer's mesh there were removed a few weeks ago as I had troubles in Alaska.I must say that the FsFreeware mesh is great !see screenshotsThanks for assistance

Hi Ray, I just found out that if the Vancouver mesh is now solved (thanks to you!) , I have the same problem North-East of Vancouver , let's say from Gillies Bay up to CAP3 airport . I must have a priority problem between .bgls somewhere.Any other "brillant" recommendation? Thanks in advance.BTW I need a userid/password to access mapserver , no?

Howdy,I'm not Ray but I can tell you, if the problems are the same as in the screenshots (i.e., everything at sea level except for airfields and lakes), that you still have that faulty mesh installed, whichever it is. The reason Ray's mesh fixed the display in the Vancouver area is that the faulty mesh has a lower LOD (probably LOD9) and thus the FSFreeware LOD10 mesh overrides it locally. But where that mesh ends the problems continue...Are you positive you don't have any other add-on mesh installed? None of my bcmesh series makes anything flat, that much I know ;-)Good luck for the hunt!Cheers, Holger

Dear Emilie;I support what Holger discuss already regarding this matter - therefore you must ceck your system and find the faulty files.I attach to this message a coverage for the Vancouver cded mesh - you downloaded - as from the geobase site dataset.Mapserver is a dedicated server we use to distribute big coverage mesh scenery - and it is supported by all those who like to became members and purchased a membership.http://www.fsfreeware.com/temp/vancouver_map.gifray

Hello guys,After a lot of testing I did found my problem !I had to remove the "Washington_West.bgl" file from my mesh files and all seams correct. I did not yet controlled the entire state of BC but up to now all is OK and beautifull again.I do not say that this .bgl file is bad, I say that when I load it with the other mesh files I have, it generates the conflit as described in the screenshots of my post.Any way thanks for your assistance.Regards

Howdy, glad you found the "offender".Interesting about that file. It reminded me that Richard Ludowise had issued a warning about the California mesh file by the same author: http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchThe problem with these massive mesh files is that the authors can't really send them around for beta testing. That's why it's even more important that mesh designers carefully check their work not just in FS but also with the utilities like TMFViewer or LWMViewer, both of which are much better at identifying these kinds of issues.Off the soapbox...Cheers, Holger
