Sorry that I post here, but the AS forum doesn't want to take my post and keeps on asking me to sign in every time I click on "post message".I don't know if this is general or is only happening to me, but when I try to connect AS I get a message saying that the Winds Aloft server is not working and that I should be able to connect later.This has happened before and indeed I was able to connect later, but this time I haven't been able to connect for the last two days. Since then I have been using my old AS2002, which hasn't got any ground winds, but works fine after taking off, but well, I paid good money for AS WXre so I would like to use it whenever I want.Help pls,Thanks,Leo

Hi, Leo:This sounds like it may be a firewall problem. I had a similar problem trying to post messages until I made certain that everything at AVSIM could get through the firewall.That might also explain the problem that you are having with not getting Winds Aloft server connect.Just a thought. Have you made any changes in your firewall software?Wilson

Also, sure you are using the latest update to the program (version 1.92). I have this problem from time to time, but not all the time.KP

Hi Leo,Sorry you are having trouble. Yes, the wind server from NOAA is down. We don't like the idea that it is down, but with a public server, it sometimes happens. We all must wait for NOAA to fix it. Please keep in mind that we will be watching the situation.
