New version of AutoStar

Featured Replies

I've just released the second update. AutoStar allows you to add planets, images and now comets to the Flight Simulator night sky. For discussion of this, see the thread 'Add planets to FS9?' A couple of screenshots:http://www.kline.demon.co.uk/comet2.jpghttp://www.kline.demon.co.uk/comet3.jpg You need to download two zips: (if you already downloaded AutoStar then you only need the update) http://www.kline.demon.co.uk/autostar.zip http://www.kline.demon.co.uk/autostar_update_2.zip Best regards, Chris

Chris, I think your program is very cool(love the comet feature!)but at this point in time I am very frustrated trying to make it function! I placed AutoStar in my C drive program file and directed it to open FS9;NO PROBLEM! But,the trouble I,m having lies with the MAKESTARS feature! I keep getting a "RUNTIME ERROR 53" which says "cannot find FILE"? What file? (I am useing Real Stars and XP) Its probably ME but I,m at a loss!:-hmmm I,m no rocket scientist!Any help would be appreaciated! THANK YOU! RickB "SOMEDAY I WILL FLY IN A REAL B-17!"

Make sure you've saved a copy of stars.dat as stars_base.dat in your main FS9 folder. Also, make sure you install the update, and that your path to fs9 is correct...Sound okay so far?Best,sg
