QualityWings 757 CTD

Featured Replies

Whenever I go into Free Flight and select any QualityWing 757 aircraft, it just closes the whole program. It doesn't freeze up and say fatal error occured or anything but just simply closes. I can still go in and edit my flight number or the callsign. I have SP2 on here.

It's still a crash. Did it work okay before this started happening or is this after you installed the aircraft? Look in your Windows Event Viewer (Start Button>Search Event Viewer). Do you have all of the required Microsoft Visuals C++ Redistributables installed (2005, 2008, and 2010)? Most likely a bad install. You might try uninstalling/reinstalling. Some have fixed problems with aircraft in the past by simply renaming or deleting the fsx.cfg, restarting FSX and letting the sim rebuild the config. I suggest you rename your fsx.cfg to fsx.old then restart fsx. That way, if it doesn't fix the problem, you can go back and get your orginal config back.

If none of my suggestions work, you might post this in the FSX Forum as it's not a CTD. More people visit that forum than this forum. I'm about the only one who trolls this area.

Best regards,

Jim

Its not a crash.

Its because the product is not activated properly. If you try to load the aircraft before its activated, the sim will close.

Just activate the product via the addon manager, and all will be fine.

Regards.

Ernie.
