June 11, 201213 yr I recently purchased the JS 31 from Virtualcol (Flightsim Deal of the Day). Spent a while looking through the manual and going step by step through the checklist--sometimes I got an engine started and sometimes not. If I did get an engine started it was hard to keep it running. Yesterday I got both started (don't know I did anything different). Had a time taxiing to the runway but finally managed to get it on the center line for takeoff. Took off and made it to 8,000 when both engines shutdown. Tried numerous restarts without success. However, I glided to the nearest runway and, with judicial use of flaps and slip, made a nice landing deadstick! Now that either means that FSX is not that realistic of a simulator or I'm one killer of a simmer. I prefer to believe the latter. Anyways, anyone with this plane care to give some pointers? Thanks. Randall
June 11, 201213 yr Video of how to start it: Manuals and checklists can be found by clicking the link you will find in your FSX folder here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Virtualcol FS Software\linkserver.htm You will need to log into the site to see them, note that the site is in Spanish, but there is a button top right to view it in English.
