June 12, 201213 yr Does anyone have any idea what this is, and how to get rid of it? I have just recently discovered this anomaly, and it's only of full screen view that I get it. I'm referring to the two white vertical lines with a green chunk in the centre of them, with blocked letters SL at the left of the full display. The green chuck between the two veticlal bars will expand up and down with screen activity. It's almost like a diagnostic tool? This is a 3 x 23" monior display, set up in Nvidia surround mode using 2x GeForce GTX560 Ti in SLI. Latest drivers, 301.42. I'm not sure if it's an FSX thing, or a hardware issue, or a driver issue. June 12, 201213 yr What you're seeing is a driver option for displaying SLI Load balancing, as shown here: http://techreport.com/articles.x/7671/2 You should be able to turn it off in the nvidia control panel according to this: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=133499

June 12, 201213 yr Thanks so much NikkiA for revealing that well kept secret. Nvidia enthusiasts didn't even have an answer when I posted there as well. Like really, how do you Google something like that? I figured it was a diagnostic of sorts, and the "SL" kinda gave a hint .... I googled for 'SLI display overlay' and just eyeballed the first dozen or so links for something that looked like a driver feature (as it's obvious that's what it was going to be, since FSX is SLI unaware) Once I'd established that the correct terminology was that it was a SLI Load balancing monitor, a second search revealed some extra info :) This time it was fairly easy to find... A month ago I was trying to diagnose something similar on my bf's computer - whenever he pressed shift-alt it would switch between a group of 'display modes' much like on a TV (cinema, game, standard, etc). Obviously it couldn't be the monitor doing it, since that wouldn't have access to the keyboard. Searching brought very little in the way of hints, until I remembered that he was running something to allow certain games into fake fullscreen. Sure enough, it was that application that was offering a way to quick switch between gamma profiles :)
