I have Orcas Island and it's very "interactive". Tons of animated characters and other things. You also get a few extra, small airsrips, and a floatplane dock, all very detailed. Also, there's a fix for the elevation problems that occour when using these sceneries with an addon mesh. It's designed for the FSGenesis mesh. This is a big deal for me because I think a high-detail mesh really adds to the appearance of FS scenery. I'm not sure if such a fix exists for Emma Field.Sadly, there are no sounds included with the Orcas Island package. I also have Georender 6, and it's the other way around. Excellent sounds (though a bit buggy), but very few animations. If Emma Field has both animations and sounds, it's probably worth checking out.Hopefully someone who uses both will reply, as I'm also thinking about purchasing Emma Field.

Hi,I have Emma Field. I haven't gotten the chance to use it a whole lot yet though. Only once so far to be exact. But I plan on flying there shortly to check it out some more. ;)It has animations and sounds. It comes with it's own AI Traffic that is specific to the field, of course. I think it's fantastic! :9 Unless I'm not doing something correctly, the only thing I noticed about it so far that seemed a little wrong is that when I was tuned to the KEWL Traffic frequency, I didn't hear any of the AI Traffic that were taking off and landing at Emma Field talking on the radio.Regards,Jim

Orcas of course...... but that's because we sell it ;-)To be honest, you should get BOTH. Each has its specific attractiveness. Emma is a fantasy airfield, but with lots of added features such as glider towing, moving objects and built-in sounds.And the biggest Virtual Flying Club on the internet attached to it ;-)Orcas Island on the other hand, by the same author, is all about a REAL airfield on a real island and accurate to every detail, providing the same immersion and moods as every Georender scenery does. There are no sounds (but you can add FSE sounds), but lots of animatons (the new Geomotion ones !) and a whole island with accurate photo textures to discover.Contrary to another post in this thread, there is NO mesh included. I have both and both are very good but different.I would try to buy both but if I had to make a choice it would be Emma Field.If you decide on Emma Field take a look at Golden Eagles Suadron web site.There you will find freeware scenery of bush airports in close proximity to Emmas Field.

I have Orcas and like it very much, enough so that I'm spending my summer months in a rental on the island (virtually, of course :D ) However it really needs sounds, but since I do not own FSE, my Ocras will remain silent.Emma Field on the other hand comes with its own sounds and from what I understand of it, has seasonal animations, i.e. some animations are only seen during certain times of the year (or certain times of the day). If you can only get one, I would suggest Emma Field (and then save up for Orcas!) -Lindy :-rotor:-wave

That is correct. Animations at Emma Field are seasonal and timed.For example, in winter there will be no glider flying and no grill parties at night at the FBO.

But in FS9 you can have any season you want, any time you want it.David
