June 22, 201213 yr Hi I have posted this message on the Saitek forum but it is fairly quiet on that forum and I am unable to contact Saitek Technical Support by mobile telephone in UK from Australia as it is the weekend our/their time. I was hoping to fully immerse myself in some flying this weekend now that I have finally finished a special project. This is the message I posted on Saitek forum with attachment. "Hi Have bought X52 Pro approx 1 month ago after untold problems with Logitech G940. Installed X52 Pro and I believed everything was working OK. Latest drivers installed on Win7 2600K 8gig Nvidia 570. I programmed the buttons on X52 via FSX Settings/Controls. Have not used Saitek profiler as my technical ability was destroyed by attempting to use Logitech profiler. I have attached a file which shows my button allocation on the X52. I am sure that this problem did not exist when I first allocated the functions described in jpg attached. I had allocated Autopilot master on/off (Z) to button 2. I have removed that allocation why I attempt to find what the problem is I am experiencing. As can be seen Elevator Trim Up/Down have been allocated to buttons 3 and 4. This is the problem I am experiencing: If button 2 is allocated to Autopilot in the default plane (I have been using the Cessna C172SP Skyhawk as my default instead of Trike for approx 12 months) I can turn Autopilot on and off with no problem. Elevator trim up/down work okay. Have tested autopilot on/off, Elevator trim up/down on the ground and in normal flight and no problem encountered. However if I use my LDS767 and PMDG 737NGX; when either Trim up/down buttons are used they disconnect the autopilot. On the ground and in flight same happens.. Hence why I removed Button 2 allocation for the Autopilot. But now without Button 2 in use, using Trim up/down (Button 3 and 4) now continually will disconnect Autopilot requiring me to reselect it and cancel alarm." I would appreciate some advice/assistance please and my apology for such a long winded thread." Regards Noel Southam noels7 Noel Southam
